Great Pyramid of Giza - The unique reflection of ancient Egyptian culture

One of the oldest seven wonders of the ancient world  to remain intact till date is Great Pyramid of Giza. This place is often addressed by various other names like Pyramid of Khufu or Pyramid of Cheops. This pyramid is situated in the El Giza in Egypt. This Great Pyramid was said to be the tallest man made structure in the world for over 3800 years.  It is said according to the Egyptologists that the pyramid was built as a tomb over a 10 to 20-year period and is said to have concluded around 2560 BC.

This great pyramid incorporates about 23 million stone blocks which is said to have weighed an average of 2.5 to 15 tons each. The pyramid is said to have three burial chambers. The first is underground which is carved into bedrock. The second is aboveground chamber which is called the queen’s chamber and third is the king’s chamber which had a red granite sarcophagus placed  almost exactly at the center of the pyramid.  I would surely say this place will take you much closer to the culture of ancient Egypt and you will also feel the sense of mystery once near the pyramid.
