The Pristine White Beauty of the City Palace Udaipur

India is incredible when it comes to offering exclusive tourist locations. One of such architectural splendour is the City Palace of Udaipur. Built for over a period of nearly 400 years, the construction of this palace was started by Maharaja Udai Singh II.

The palace is located on the eastern bank of Lake Pichola in Rajasthan and is said to be a unique blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles.and is considered to be the largest of its type in Rajasthan. This palace is often referred to as the “Venice of the east” and is built on a hilltop offering panoramic view of the city and the surroundings.

Located against a picture perfect background of rugged mountains, this palace was used for filming for various movie like James Bond movie Octopussy. There are series of palaces and structures within the city complex area. I can conclude by saying that architectural blend here left me spell bounded with a longing to visit this place again and again.
