The Majestic remembrance of Roman architecture- Colosseum of Rome

In the year 2007, one monuments was added as the Seven New wonders of the world which is the Colosseum of Rome. The mighty structure is also addressed as Flavian Amphitheatre is an elliptical amphitheatre located in the centre of the city of Rome in Italy. This structure is said to have been built of concrete and stone and is reported to be the largest amphitheatre of the entire Roman Empire. This work is regarded as the greatest works of Roman architecture as well as engineering.

This structure was started by emperor Vespasian in the 70 AD and was completed during the time of his heir and successor Titus in 80 AD. This colosseum can hold around 50,000 and 80,000 spectators and is said to have been used for gladiatorial contest along with public spectacles such as animal hunts, executions, re- enactments of famous battles along with dramas based on Classical mythology. In the early medieval era, this structure was used solely for entertainment. The Majestic structure will surely take you back to the Roman Medieval era once you step your foot in it.
